The SECTEC (South East Construction Technical Education College) is a regional initiative that brings together education providers, employers and industry partners to strengthen technical education and skills development. Its aim is to ensure training aligns closely with current and future workforce needs.

SECTEC aims to improve collaboration between education and industry, support the delivery of high-quality technical education, and help address skills gaps within key sectors such as construction and engineering.

SECTEC involves a wide range of partners including further education colleges, training providers, employers, local authorities and industry bodies working together to support skills development across the region.

The initiative primarily focuses on technical and vocational sectors, starting with construction and expanding into areas such as engineering, digital and other priority industries identified by regional skills needs.

SECTEC supports learners by improving access to high-quality training and clear progression pathways. It supports employers by helping shape curriculum, creating opportunities to engage with education providers, and developing a workforce with the skills needed for the industry.
